Description
We wanted to know how the CAT filter would catch transmission fluid
contamination versus the OEM Allision Filter. The 3 rd party lab test
introduced 30 micron (average transmission debris size) particulates at 1.3
GPM, upstream from the filter. The fluid downstream from the filter was
analyzed to see how much particulate above 30 microns made it past the
filter. 39 minutes into the test, the OEM filter was allowing 55% of particles
above 30 microns through the filter and back into the transmission. At 77.5
minutes, the CAT filter still allowing 0 particles above 30 microns past the
filter.
